Whoa, extremely interesting feature discovered. So, files can be downloaded or uploaded to the iPad through GoodReader over wifi. So, imagine you’re doing small group work in class and ask students to submit their work to you via the IP address of the iPad, they would do this via their browser. They can also download copies of anything you happen to have in the My Documents section of GoodReader, which is both completely excellent and a little scary. You can password protect your My Documents in GoodReader so that students can’t download willy-nilly. Here’s a picture of what the student would see in their browser when connected to your iPad. Please let us know if you try this with students and how it works for you.

Air Sketch

Air Sketch turns the iPad into a wireless whiteboard so that you can mark up PDFs (such as Keynote or PowerPoint presentations saved as PDFs) while projecting onto the screen in a multimedia room. This can also be used as a whiteboard from within Wimba Live Classroom, which is very handy for those of you trying to conduct online office hours and needing to sketch something out or work out an equation. See an explanation of how this works in upcoming blog post.

Perfect Browser

Perfect Browser is tabbed and relatively speedy and projects websites out using VGA adapter. This and GoodReader or iAnnotate are handy for when you need to develop a workaround for apps that don’t have VGA support.
